The challenge for lcmd
The project places special demands on the project management software:
Complex project structure
- Coordination of 13 specialized partners plus equipment suppliers
- • Late project entry: Implementation in service phase 8, while the shell construction was already underway
- • Prefabricated construction with VST towers for temporary building support
- • Parallel trades: Simultaneous shell construction and finishing on different floors
- • High quality requirements due to pharmaceutical standards and regulatory inspections
Due to this complex situation, there was a particular need for highly precise scheduling and exceptionally transparent construction management in order to avoid delays, obstruction notices, and additional costs.

Implementation and results
After just six weeks, lcmd was fully implemented and actively in use. The average training period for new users is around one week—an indicator of how intuitive the software landscape is to use.
Measurable successes:
- Efficient construction meetings through better visualization
- • Faster decision-making through a shared database
- • Successful rescheduling without affecting other trades
- • Early detection of conflicts and more accurate forecasting
- • Improved adherence to deadlines through transparent traceability
- • Cost transparency, e.g., for scaffolding costs through integrated reporting

lcmd and the link to big® provide an enormous gain in knowledge after just a short time. The big advantage lies not only in potential cost savings, but also in the ability to make better and more informed decisions. The information base is the same for everyone. And that is our biggest added value: transparency creates trust and enables genuine collaboration.
